P.A.L.S. spay/neuter specials in November

In times of economic downturn, everyone could use a little help. ACT is making it easy and affordable for people on a limited income to do the right thing.

The ACT Clinic is offering drastically reduced spay/neuter surgery prices for people on a limited income in November. P.A.L.S. Month (prevent another litter subsidy) offers surgeries for $55 for dogs, $20 for cats. The co-payment includes spay/neuter surgery, recovery medicine and a rabies vaccination. To quality, the pet family submits an application and provides proof of financial need. Participation in public assistance programs and other proof will be considered on a case by case basis.

Stride for Strays Wrap up

ACT’s 8th Annual Stride for Strays Walkathon was a tremendous success.

Members of the community collected donations and brought their dogs on a 1-mile walk, raising over $30,000 for the animals. Over 300 walkers registered for the event. Pet-friendly vendors were on hand providing free samples and selling the latest items for pets and their people. Rescue groups had dogs available for adoption., Starbucks provided free coffee and cookies for all walkers. ACT’s veterinarian was on hand answering questions. A favorite activity was the Picasso contest, where dogs stepped in paint and created masterpieces.
