In conjunction with the ASPCA (American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals®) and “Mission Orange”, the Animal Coalition of Tampa (ACT) Spay Neuter Clinic will “Go Orange For Animals” and spay or neuter ORANGE CATS FOR FREE on ASPCA Day – Thursday, April 10, 2008.  Advance appointments are required, and the promotion cannot be combined with any other offer. Rabies vaccines will be required if not current. Other services are available at regular low prices.  Call the clinic at (813) 250-3900 to reserve an appointment, or visit for additional information.

The ACT Spay/Neuter Clinic opened its doors on March 13, 2006 and to date has provided high quality, caring and affordable sterilization, vaccinations and microchipping services to more than 9,600 animals in the Tampa Bay area.

“The most loving thing you can do for your pet is to spay or neuter,” says Linda Hamilton, Executive Director of ACT.  “A fixed dog or cat lives a longer and healthier life and is happier and more affectionate.  Chances of cancer are eliminated or greatly decreased, and unwanted litters don’t add to an already-overpopulated world.”

The ACT Spay Neuter Clinic is one of four animal welfare agencies in Tampa chosen by the ASPCA® for the Mission Orange TM campaign to create a country of humane communities, one community at a time, and to increase Tampa’s save rate for homeless pets from 10 percent to 50 percent by 2010.  To learn more, visit
