Animal Coalition of Tampa (ACT)’s Low Cost Spay/Neuter Clinic is celebrating its 2nd birthday with a Wine and Chocolate Bash, March 16 from 2 – 5 pm at the clinic on 1719 W. Lemon Street in Tampa. Enjoy wine, chocolate, health and wellness booths for you and your pet, a silent auction, clinic tours and much more. Tickets are $20 in advance; $25 at the door. To purchase tickets, visit: or call 813-250-3900.

Last year, nearly 25,000 animals were euthanized in Hillsborough County due to overpopulation. The ACT Clinic was founded in 2006 to put an end to this tragedy by providing quality, affordable and accessible opportunities for people to spay and neuter their companion animals. 8,293 companion animals were fixed at the clinic in its first two years of existence; over 9,000 to date.

“Our goal is to reach 7,200 in 2008,” said Linda Hamilton, Executive Director of the ACT clinic. “We’ve been lucky to be able to afford such reasonable prices while still keeping our high surgery standards. We need fundraisers like this to keep this going.”

All proceeds will help income-restricted people take proper care of their dogs and cats,
