Dinner benefit a success!

Our “Spay-ghetti” and no balls dinner benefit was a success! Over 100 people came to support ACT’s mission to end pet overpopulation in Tampa Bay. The event brought in over $3500 that will be used toward this goal.

Event features included dinner, a cash bar and a silent auction with items such as wine, gift certificates to local restaurants, beautiful jewelry and gift baskets with pet toys and treats. Angel, the spokespet for ACT’s Angel Fund, was there to warm hearts and tell her story. ACT’s founders, Linda and Frank Hamilton, shared the latest statistics for overpouplation in Tampa Bay, emphasizing that the number of animals going into our local shelters has decreased since ACT started, but we still have a long way to go. Dr. Joanne Wagner, one of ACT’s veterinarians, discussed the mission and high standard of care pets are given at the clinic. The date for the 2009 annual Stride for Strays walkathon was also announced – October 31.

“Beat the Heat” with our May cat specials!

We’re offering $20 cat spay and neuter surgeries during the month of May, to help you “beat the heat!” Price includes surgery, pain injection, anesthesia and antibiotic injection. Additional tests, vaccines and pet products are available at our regular low prices.
